A nice girl from fedex turned up with an advance copy of my book Scandinavian Stitches yesterday afternoon! It felt great to finally hold it i my hands and there was a slight feeling of relief as well, because it looks just like I had imagined and very me! You've seen the cover already so I'm showing the book from this strange angle cause I wanted you to see that little fishy on the backstrip, which is one of the reasons why I am so content. It's in the details!
A friend of mine (aka my Zumba-buddy, went to my first class yesterday and it was awesome) said that the book is like a good cookbook, the pictures look so yummy you want to make everything :) Thank you H! I'm really happy that the instructions pages look this tempting too, makes the instructions look easier, don't you think?
And this page made me so happy when I saw it the first time, it's years since I sewed my first birds, but somehow I never seem to get tired of them the way you do with many other designs that fade away after the first inspired moments. Fly right into my silly world!
There are more pictures on flickr, if you want to see more, otherwise this would become a very picture heavy post. Anyway, it will still take two months until the book is in the shops, sigh! I will do a blog tour starting in late October, I will give you the schedule closer to the starting date! And while we're waiting: Mummsam's (Samantha Cotterill) book Fanciful Felties will be on the market very soon now, I can't wait!
Otherwise I am mostly busy with wholesale orders so not many crafty news to share, but I have a lot of new ideas spinning around in my head waiting to get out! Happy Wednesday to you!
