Hey folks there's only one more step to go on the interactive project! I'm going to miss this when it's over! This time Mr Random picked Anita's suggestion, she said: CAT - A cat with the feet hanging the line of clothing ... So here you are Anita, hope you like the little tiger I created! I added a little fishy too for all off you who suggested I would hang some fish on the line. Now please give me your suggestions for the last thing to add to the picture!
This girl seems to be quite eager to do the washing-up, poor kitty does not look content :)
Here comes the rules again!
I will:
1. wait until I have got (at least) ten suggestions for the next motive
2. draw one of them
3. do my best to do as you wish using fabric and thread (and buttons?)
4. go through 10 stages
5.
draw
a winner among all the people who has come with one of the ten
first suggestions at any stage. This person will win the finished piece
of art work. (before this I will most certainly get it scanned and
printed so that everyone will have the chance to get a piece of the
cake)
Feel free to join in! You can see the whole process in my flickr. Only one more step and we will have a finished piece of art!
And a few words about something else! I got a mail from Elina the other day, she wondered if I had seen this bag in Oma piha gardening magazine, so I ran off an bought myself an issue, the picture is huuge, thank you! These bags are available from Elina's web shop patio.fi only at the moment!
I'm probably a bit late but what about a hat that has been blown off in a twirly gust of wind? It's looking fab, I love it!

How about a turtle as a symbol to slow down and enjoy the small things in life?
Posted by: hollyabee | 15 May 2009 at 11:03 AM
aaah, I too would love to see a snail with a trail...or a tiny hedgehog or ladybird...
hope you are well

How about some butterflies? or bees?
It looks great! xx

How about a watering can to keep the flowers happy.

The cat makes me laugh! Too funny! ...How about a little caterpillar on the empty spot on the clothes line :o)

Hysterical!
Maybe a little blue bird just sitting on the line? I really like the mouse idea too.

Hi Kajsa. Haven't been here for a while, love the latest piece and your magazine pic is great, Karen.

Hello,
I have just come across your blog after seeing your beautiful work on etsy. I love, love, love it! Also read your great post about cpoying. Very sad story which is something that is very real for lots of us who make things. At least in your heart you know that the work is yours and the copier can never feel that sense of achievement. I hope she reads the post and feels guilty.
I will return for sure x

This has to be the most fabulous thing on the internet. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I think it needs a squirrel on the line near the sunflowers.
Congrats on your bags in the magazine!

How about a little garden gnome standing among the grass and flowers?
Posted by: Deborah | 09 May 2009 at 06:24 AM
Great work! I like what Tase suggested with a little mouse in the picture.
Posted by: Jennifer DeDonato | 09 May 2009 at 05:13 AM
little doggie, definitely.

I am suppose to be taking a self imposed blog break... no posting or commenting for two weeks, but I had to break it just to say how much I love this, the idea, the execution, and all of the elements... (I think the bike is my favorite but it is hard to choose!) The whole piece is delightful!
I was thinking you could add some mushrooms, but I see someone already suggested that. I also like the suggestion someone gave about adding a laughing mouse. What ever you add I am sure it will be wonderful!

I LOVE this.
So many great ideas already, but I wanted to join in so I'll just throw in the random idea of a snail.

This is turning out so cute, the whole idea of an interactive project is great! I love your work, and visiting here is inspiring, fresh and makes me happy :)My sugestion is a laundry basket.

It's a lovely piece you are working on. I haveo come back and say the same as I have done before - butterflies and bees flying over the hear of the girl and flowers inthe basket... Good luck finishing it up.

This is so adorable. I love that cat.
I would like to suggest a ladybug on the sunflower stem and flowers in the basket.
Posted by: Karen | 08 May 2009 at 09:34 PM
A green frog jumping near the sunflower...I think that sides looks a bit bare.
I would love to earn that piece of art!!!

Hmm... I was thinking a birdhouse or two or three on a pole would be fun. I've enjoyed watching this come together. The cat is brilliant.

How about a couple of butterflies? It's so fantastic! I'm already feeling jealous of whoever is lucky enough to win it! Lucy x

Funny funny cat! Since several persons have already suggested a spider (which I would love to see!), I will suggest a frog leaping under the quilt!
I will miss it too when it's over... You'll just have to start another one!
Posted by: Agnes | 08 May 2009 at 07:29 PM
I can just picture a little brown dog with pointy ears under the quilt...looking at that cat and BARKING!
Posted by: Rossie | 08 May 2009 at 07:24 PM
Your little girl looks hungry... how about some cheese and a loaf of bread in the basket.
Posted by: kelly mae | 08 May 2009 at 06:33 PM
Perhaps the sun? It looks like such a beautiful day...and perhaps it needs some sunshine!
Posted by: Barb | 08 May 2009 at 05:22 PM
rats, i was going to say mushrooms or a spider, but those have already been said...great idea, ladies. ;)

While looking at the piece, I thought that the background is a bit bare. What about a house on a hill in the background - or a quilt store?
Posted by: Dolores Sedore (Typy) | 08 May 2009 at 04:54 PM
How about the mouse in the basket. That basket looks a little too empty!
You are VERY talented! Such a fun and beautiful project.
Posted by: Mary | 08 May 2009 at 04:52 PM
A little mushroom or two in the grass? Or maybe a little heart on the girl's dress?
...Was going to say flowers in the basket, but I think someone already said that.
It's too cute!

I Love it!!!
And the crazy cat... ahahah... realy cute!!!
And maybe the little mouse ^_^
Hugs and kisses*

The cat is great, I love it. How about a frog, he could be leaping out of the basket.
Posted by: fibrespace | 08 May 2009 at 02:56 PM
A spider? There are a lot of places to fit in a smal spider or a web.
Posted by: magFly | 08 May 2009 at 02:35 PM
I love this piece. I just found your blog and this process seems like a lot of fun!
Maybe there could be some flowers in the basket on her bike?
Posted by: Kris | 08 May 2009 at 02:32 PM
The girl definitely needs a big summer hat... maybe not on her head but in her hand?!
This is such a fun project you've been doing... it's been interesting to see what's going to be added next :)!
Onnittelut vielä tuosta Omasta Pihasta :)!
Posted by: memmu | 08 May 2009 at 02:05 PM
Oh I love the cat, I think a spider in its web somewhere would be great,
It's really turning out quite beautiful
Posted by: Isa | 08 May 2009 at 02:02 PM
Guess what I'm going to suggest.....
SNAIL (I will have a silvery trail....lol)
I might have to stitch a snail just to get it out of my system.
Posted by: laura | 08 May 2009 at 02:02 PM
How about a little mouse in the grass laughing at the cat?
I find your work very inspirational! :-)
