Look what arrived from the lovely zukzuk shop today! I thought it was time to continue my Etsy art collection with a new home to decorate and all. I've got a few lovely prints already and my aim is to get them framed and hanged this Autumn... Which I have a feeling will be very busy with fairs and workshops and hopefully some new goodness for the shop. And as soon as I have managed the dead-line I have next week I will start working on a new card collection. I have always loved this time of year,it 's more like a new beginning than a new year, I think. Especially this year when Big E is going to real school, a new school with lots of new friends. I have promised myself to enjoy all the goings on and try not to get stressed. Because I love what I do! How are you today?

I love autumn too; it often gets very windy and rainy here, so staying inside to quilt, or read, or light candles feels even better. And then there is all the wonderful colours that make the wiew from our house look like a painting.
A walk in the rain is not bad either (when you are properly dressed and have an entertaining podcast in your ears)...

The print is beautiful; such great colors too. I remember my daughter going to 'real' school and what a dramatic step that was. She's 21 now and it seems like only yesterday.

What a cute print! I love it. You deserve new prints for the new house. I'm happy for you.
Kids back to school is slightly bittersweet for me. Part of me wishes to homeschool, but I believe they need MORE than that, and since I'm a work at home mom, I don't get much done with them around in the summer, even with "established" work hours. I love their school, and get to teach art classes.
I also love autumn. I love the sunshine and cooler weather, the leaves, and buying new notebooks.

I must say that I love autumn too! I also love spring time. Christmas is also one of my favourite seasons. We have at school so much to make for our Christmas shop. I love to see your new cards!!!

Ulla V,
I love May too! And preparing for Christmas in November (I know...),
together with early Autumn they might be my favourite seasons, but I
think most seasons are in different ways :)
Cards are fun to design when you are inspired! It's been a while since
I made anything new so it feels like my head is filled up and needs to
be emptied so I hope that will bring something good!

Sonia,
As I said I am determined to think positive and not let the work load
feel like a burden, but something fun I have been given. It must work
:) Good luck with your new school!

Cheryl,
I will hold my first appliqué class in October! It's so exiting! I've
taught at the university before, but this is more fun and "me" so I
can't wait!

I always see September as the new year for me. Maybe it's because I was always a huge fan of school. This year it is about new beginnings - real and attempted. I've booked my first class as a quilt teacher and I'm taking some writing workshops. It is the beginning of truly living my life creatively.

Aaaah Kajsa, a post full of hope, promise & strength ! Thanks so much for sharing your motivation & dynamism ! We're in the same boat over here (new school, everything new) minus the card collection making, obviously ! LOL
I didn't know ZukZuk shop, thanks for showing us the way :) The colors are so cheery !
Sending you all big hugs, hoping you're doing great oxoxo

How nice to read, that you are doing so well in your new home...
I have never seen the work of zukzuk, but I'm definitely glad that you brought it to my attention. How fantastic! No wonder that you want to put her work on your walls.
New cards sounds like a wonderful thing. It must be so funny and interesting to develop new ones...
Like you, I simply love September (and May). The way the sun shines and the air gets high and blue in that particular month, gives me so much energy.
I really enjoyed reading your words again. :))
