The book tour continues today after our little weekend break, which actually wasn't so much of a break for me, I'm totally knocked out after 3 days at the fair. It was so much fun, but you get so tired after being über-social for three days in a row. It was especially giving talking face to face about my book with people. Everyone was so happy and encouraging and even proud. I guess it doesn't happen every day that a Finn gets published in the US :) So Thanks, Kiitos and Tack to everyone who came to see me! See more pictures here.
Now I'd like to continue with my presentation of the hosts for my blog tour! Friday's stop was at Pikaland. Amy is a real talent at finding new talents in art and illustrations! If you want to start collecting art, Pikaland is the place to go to find the fresh, new names! If you're an artist yourself you might want to take part in the pika package project! I participated in the first project 2 years ago already!
This morning I stopped by at Amy aka Lucykate's blog to answer a couple of tricky questions. I can't really remember when Amy and I first 'met', but I think she was one of my first regular blog readers! Thanks for being there, Amy! Amy is a felt artist and creates the cutest little creatures, this new fox pillow with a relief appliqué is just amazing! She has some really sweet tutorials available on her blog, I might have to make the elf hat for little e for Christmas! Head over to Lucykate Crafts now to win your copy of my book!
I'll be back soon to introduce these lovely ladies (these are also the last dates for the book tour):
Great booth setup, it looks adorable and well organized which I find so hard to do with a small space at fairs, so nice work!!
I just discovered your blog/etsy and I love your stuff. You're so creative and I love your unique style, keep the creative juices flowing! :)

Dear Kajsa,
Just to let you know I just ordered your book! And in the process, I found your blog! Love, love, love it! I'll be writing about Scandinavian craftbooks on my own blog today (probably not as many visitors as yours, but you never know). I'll be sure to mention your book and blog!
I'll be visiting again soon!!!

I received your new book for my birthday last week and I am completely in love with it. You are one clever lady and you have a great eye for style. I've just blogged about your new book and included a couple of my makes from it. Thanks for producing such a wonderful book.

Your book just arrived (here in Australia) and its absolutely delicious! My maiden name is Soininen, so it will be nice to craft some scandanavian goodies for the family, and get back to my Finnish roots. I absolutely adore that little quilt with the blue sky and the fox. Congrats on an amazing book!

Hei hei, greetings from Canada... Just found your site, love seeing things from Finland (Scandinavian crafts)... Im born in Helsinki and grew up in Sweden, live here now (well, since 22+ years back), miss all the traditions from back there, and your site brings a lot of that back, love it. Congratulations to your book (Im an illustrator and artist), have to see if I can get it over here. Again, great blog.

P.S. My favorite phrase was the duck in the snow one, but now I can't recall it precisely. :)

Hei Kajsa! Belated congratulations on your book!! I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. I mean to tell you a long time ago now that I made it to your Porvoo exhibit in June (and even made a little purchase) and really loved the words and phrases quilt. Take care! Hopefully I will bump into you again at a future Helsinki craft event.

Thank you Krista! Not much time to rest, Im afraid! But sewing is therapeutical, isnt it!? Now I have to unpack all my stuff from the fair= my least favourite part.

Well done on your book, it looks wonderful and Im looking forward to ordering a copy very soon.
