This morning I got a very disappointing call from the estate agency, to make a long story short, we will not be able to buy the house we wanted to. Crappiest crap EVER. Since I am me I had already decorated the whole house in my mind... I guess we will just have to keep on looking, I am hopeful that we will find the house this Summer! So that was my bad news.
And the good ones? Obviously I was feeling quite down about my broken house dreams and it didn't help that it was raining wet snow outside. And then I got an e-mail! I got a grant from the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland for writing my next book! Woohoo!
Oh, and if you're wondering who that is in the picture, it is Rosa Viola, another one-of-a-kind fairy angel. She is a true romantic and refuses to wear anything else but a dress, by the end of the day she often ends up with green grass patches on her knees and tends to lose her gingham hair-bands. She loves to climb in trees too! Right now she is hiding in my Etsy shop.
What a very strange day! I hope there will be no more surprises. Any happy or bad news you would like to share? I'm all ears!
Hi! Kajsa,
Congratulations on the Grant to write your next book, that's really wonderful. I sorry you missed out on your house, but a better one will come along.

Haha, no Im not pregnant Sally! It would be lovely with a little one again, when we get more space. Not sure what the loving father will say about that plan though... :)

Oh - hang on. Cheryl is pregnant, not you! Oh dear. Can you tell I'm juggling lots of things at once?

I love Rosa - she's sweet. And I must be living in a whole, because reading the comments here I see you're pregnant!! How did I miss that? OMG.
The house will be a little memory of what could have been - until the most perfect house opportunity comes along. Which it will!

Kajsa,
I am a firm believer that when a door closes it is to keep you open for the better thing that is coming. Just you wait and see!

I'm really sorry that you didn't get the house you loved. I know excactly what you mean when you say that you have already decorated it. I did the same thing when we were looking for a house. Actually I still dream of the beautiful house in the countryside which we didn't buy.
However I'm sure that you will find another house which will be just as lovely. :))
And lots of congratulations on the grant. That's wonderful! :))

You have the last slow weeks in front of you then, when the tummy sits between you and the sewing machine :) Im crossing my fingers that you wont have to wait too long! And thanks, I really hope that our house is there somewhere, I am so ready for more SPACE! xx

No news on my end. And that's both a good and a bad thing at 37 weeks pregnant!
Sorry to hear about the house. I completely understand those feelings. Something better will definitely come up!
